During my career I have been fundamental in helping a start up agency grow to be one of the most successful in the local region, taught Graphic Design at Cleveland College of Art & Design and more recently in 2008 founded an agency with two colleagues.
In late 2013 I decided to take a step back from the running of the agency. I had reached a point in my life where my partner and I had not long since had our first child and were expecting our second. I had spent the previous 5 years devoting every minute of every day to the growth of the agency. The time felt right to look at things from a different perspective and devote a little more time to life outside of the agency.
Two years on from that decision I feel I am ready to look for my next challenge. Having worked in a fledgling company and having been part of making it a successful agency in it’s own right, I feel the time is right to work in a variety of environments where I can nurture my skills, learn new ones and, where possible, pass on my experience and knowledge to others.
As a result I’ve taken the decision to move into the world of freelance.

Good, effective design is achieved by the careful and considered balance of these three core elements. The shifting ratios within which they co-exist is determined by the needs of the brief. The key to it, is to ensure the three elements work in harmony to achieve the desired results and a successful solution.
